    Google Nest Thermostats Are Now Available to Everyone 🎉

    Hi everyone 👋

    We're excited to announce that Google Nest thermostat support is now generally available to all Hospitable users! 🎉

    Over the past few months, we've worked closely with Google through their certification and approval process, completed Google's testing, and progressed through private pilot, public pilot, and open beta. Along the way, we've been onboarding more hosts, gathering real-world feedback, and continuing to improve the integration.

    With that testing successfully behind us, we're now releasing the integration to all users.

    ⚙️ To get started:

    • Navigate to Devices → Thermostats → Connect Account

    • Select Google Nest and complete the authorization flow

    A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the pilots and beta, reported issues, shared feedback, and patiently waited while we worked through Google's approval process.

    Google Nest is officially live! 🚀

    Hi everyone, quick update on Nest thermostat support 👋

    A big part of the delay on our side has been waiting on Google approvals and OAuth verification before we could move forward with broader testing.

    We’ve now received the OAuth verification approval we were waiting for from Google, which allows us to begin progressing into the next phase: a small private pilot for Nest integrations with a limited group of users.

    In parallel, we’ve already started internal testing with a group of Hospitable employee-hosts who use Nest thermostats in their own properties. This has helped us validate core flows and identify early edge cases before expanding the pilot further.

    At the same time, we’re still waiting on the final production-ready approval from Google before any broader rollout can happen.

    The goal of this pilot is to validate reliability, onboarding, and edge cases in a controlled environment while we continue working through the remaining approval steps.

    We still don’t have a public rollout timeline to share yet, but progress is actively moving again and we’ll continue posting updates here as we learn more from the pilot and from Google.

    Thanks again for all the patience, feedback, and offers to participate. We know this integration has been a long-awaited one and we’re excited to finally start moving forward.

      If possible, I would appreciate participation in the small, private pilot. I have four nest thermostats in my multi-suite estate and think I could provide valuable feedback for you and the Hospitable team.

    Quick update on Nest thermostat support: we’ve applied for a Google Commercial Development license, which is required before we can move forward with any private pilot or beta testing.

    We’re currently waiting on Google’s approval. Once we have a confirmed timeline, we’ll share a link here so you can sign up to join the private pilot.

    Nest is next on our thermostats roadmap after we’re confident in our Ecobee & Honeywell integrations.

    We’re currently (subject to change) aiming to run a private pilot for Nest thermostats in late Q1/early Q2.

    I’ll post a sign-up link to the pilot here nearer the time

          @Tim Parry, Thanks for the response. I’m sure you and the Hospitable team are just as excited for this integration as the community users.

          As a courtesy, would you and the integration team reach out to Google and request a timeline update?

          This timeline may motivate me to invest in different thermostats so I can get my integrations completely in place along with my smart locks.

    I would love my nest to automatically go into eco mode when there are no guests and turn back on a few hours before they arrive

    This would go a huge way to reducing energy costs by setting the temperature to Eco while a property is vacant.

    At the same time, being able to pre-cool or pre-heat the home to a comfortable temperature by check-in time would be huge benefit to improve the guest experience.

    I’d also like to set a min cooling temp, and max heating temp, to protect the property(ies) HVAC system from misuse.

    Sad to see Nest Yale locks weren't included in the Yale lock integration. Would love to have Google Home be included at some point.
