As a user, I’d like message character limits to be consistent across booking channels so I don’t have to adjust or rewrite messages depending on where they’re sent.
Today, character limits vary significantly:
Vrbo: 4,000 characters
Airbnb: 50,000 characters
Manual bookings (email): 16,000 characters
These differences make it difficult to create reusable message templates and can lead to unexpected truncation or failed sends. A more consistent character limit across channels would improve clarity, reduce manual work, and create a more predictable messaging experience.
