Security deposit for direct basic with hosted as merchant of record

What I want to make sure it’s understood is there’s a large group of us who do not want to hospital to be the merchant of record.
The only thing we are looking for is automation. Automated messages being turned off if the security deposit doesn’t go through so that they do not get the door code.
Automated security deposit holds through Stripe with us as the merchant of record. There is not a charge for me to put a hold for a security deposit. It only charges when I actually capture the deposit.

I am irritated and angry at the situation because I switched to Hospitable and now some things are easier for me, but the things that are not create a high additional workload. Keeping track of Security deposits and door codes is not something I can overlook or miss.
There’s not even a good way to track it because while you connect to charge automation, which is who I use now, you don’t actually have any automation for their process to turn off my messages and door codes. Is that something that you could easily do?

Alternatively, couldn’t you just open automated deposit authorization as part of our director booking Basic? Direct basic payments are automated, and I know you can Add the option For our security deposit holds to be automated as well (This is how it worked at Guesty). This would keep us as the merchant of record, and if we captured the security deposit, you would still collect one percent on direct basic security deposits.
It’s very off-putting for you all to take a fee off of money that we do not collect.
