Google Hotels Integration for Hotel Pricing

Feature requests

Problem Statement:

  • Hotels cannot push their direct booking rates to Google Search, Maps, or Google Hotels through Hospitable
  • Google Vacation Rentals (the only Google channel Hospitable supports) explicitly excludes hotels
  • This leaves hotel owners at a competitive disadvantage as their direct rates don't appear on Google surfaces

Current Workaround:

  • Relying on OTA markups (e.g., Booking.com) to appear on Google
  • No way to show direct booking rates on Google without using a separate channel manager

Impact:

  • Lost direct bookings due to higher OTA prices appearing on Google
  • Competitive disadvantage vs. hotels that can push direct rates to Google
  • Operational complexity of managing a separate channel manager just for Google visibility

Proposed Solution:

  • Integrate with Google Hotels (or Google Travel) to allow hotel inventory and pricing to be pushed directly to Google surfaces
  • Support for hotel-style properties (not just vacation rentals)

Unlock:

  • Hotels would be able to show their direct booking rates on Google Search, Maps, and Google Hotels
  • Increased direct bookings without OTA markups
  • Simplified tech stack (no need for a separate channel manager for Google visibility)

    The Irie Inn is a small hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica, with four individually bookable rooms managed through Hospitable. Each room has its own rates and availability, while all four belong to one hotel.

    Our goal is to grow direct bookings. We need Google Search, Maps, and Google Hotels to display live room rates and availability, with guests clicking through to book using Hospitable’s direct-booking engine.

    Please support Jamaica-based hotel properties with multiple room listings under a single hotel identity, alongside vacation rentals. For small independent hotels like ours, this would make Hospitable a much more complete booking solution, help guests find accurate prices, and reduce our reliance on OTAs. We would be happy to participate in testing.
