Currently, Hospitable supports scheduling recurring tasks by time (daily, weekly, monthly), but it does not support recurrence based on task count. My use case requires a task that happens every X number of turnovers/cleanings, not on a fixed calendar schedule.
For example:
I have 4 sets of linen for my Airbnb.
My cleaner does the standard changeover cleaning for each guest stay (2 hours).
After every 4th changeover, all used linen needs to be collected and washed. This laundry task should be assigned separately—either to the same cleaner for an additional fee or outsourced to another person.
Why this is important:
It allows more flexible task management for hosts with rotating supplies like linen, towels, consumables, etc.
It separates operational cleaning from support tasks (like laundry), which may have different assignees and payment structures.
It helps avoid overpaying for “extra time” on every turnover when the laundry only needs to be done every few turnovers.
It supports outsourcing specialized tasks (like laundry services or external contractors) without manual tracking outside Hospitable.
Suggested Functionality:
Option to set a task recurrence by count (e.g., “every 4th turnover” or “every 5th check-in”).
Ability to assign this task to a different teammate than the one completing the recurring turnovers.
Optional: Ability to attach a fee or tag (e.g., “Laundry Fee”) for accounting purposes.
Impact:
This feature would make task scheduling much more powerful and align Hospitable’s task management with real-world hosting workflows, especially for hosts using multiple linen sets, rotating stock, or outsourcing parts of their operations.
