Batch payouts per cleaner (one fee per payout cycle)

A host raised a good point today. They use one cleaner across multiple properties and would prefer to pay that cleaner once per week/month instead of having separate payouts tied to individual tasks.

Right now, tasks are created per property/reservation, so payouts and fees can happen separately. From the host's perspective, it's the same cleaner, so multiple fees feel unnecessary and confusing.

Would it be possible to add a payout schedule per cleaner (weekly, biweekly, monthly) that bundles completed tasks into a single payout?

Example:

  • Cleaner works across 5 properties

  • Tasks are completed throughout the month

  • Hospitable sends 1 payout with an itemized breakdown of all included tasks

  • 1 payout fee instead of multiple fees

Benefits:

  • Less fee friction for hosts

  • Simpler bookkeeping

  • Matches how many hosts already pay their cleaners in real life

  • Cleaner still receives a detailed breakdown of what each payment includes


Host expected to pay their cleaner once per month and was surprised to see multiple fees because tasks were created separately per property.

    Hi Louise,

    You can set this up today by going to Operations → Teammates and selecting the Payments tab (available on the Host, Professional, and Mogul plans).

    As the tasks completed during a pay period can change between the time we collect funds from your bank account and the time we pay out your teammate, we may need to consider service fees, when collecting the funds, to cover any changes. However, service fees are bundled into the payment schedule, with a maximum charge of $5 in service fees per teammate, per payout cycle.

    On the Host, Professional, and Mogul plans, you also receive one service-fee-free payout per month for each active property. These can be used across any of your properties and are not limited to the property where the task was completed. For example, if you have 5 active properties, you’ll receive 5 service-fee-free payouts each month.
