Problem statement:
- Currently, Hospitable does not allow assigning a commission percentage to fees that are allocated 100% to a manager
- Users cannot pay a commission to a manager for managing specific fees (e.g., cleaning fees) while the manager receives 100% of that fee
- This creates a gap for property managers who need to compensate cleaning companies or other service providers with a commission structure
Current workaround:
- No existing workaround within Hospitable
- Users must manually calculate and pay commissions outside the platform
Impact:
- Manual tracking and payment of commissions increases administrative burden
- Risk of errors in commission calculations
- Inconsistent compensation for managers handling cleaning or other services
Proposed solution:
Add an option in commission agreements to apply a commission percentage to fees that are fully allocated to a manager. This would allow users to specify a commission rate (e.g., 25%) on cleaning fees or other manager-allocated fees.
Unlock:
- Users could automate commission payments to managers for specific fees
- Reduced manual work and errors in commission calculations
- More flexible commission structures that align with real-world property management agreements
