Problem Statement:

• When you make your first photo edit in Hospitable (including changing the cover photo), Hospitable becomes the permanent "source of truth" for that property's photos
• There is no way to undo this change or switch back to Airbnb as the source of truth
• Once Hospitable becomes the source of truth, it stops pulling photo updates from Airbnb permanently for that property

Current Workaround:

• There is currently no workaround. Once the first photo edit is made, the change is irreversible

Impact:

• Hosts who accidentally edit a photo in Hospitable lose the ability to manage photos directly on Airbnb
• This creates a permanent dependency on Hospitable for photo management with no escape hatch
• Hosts may feel trapped if they prefer Airbnb's photo management interface

Proposed Solution:

• Add an "undo" or "revert" option that allows hosts to switch the source of truth back to Airbnb after making their first photo edit in Hospitable
• Alternatively, add a setting to choose the source of truth (Airbnb or Hospitable) that can be changed at any time

Unlock:

• Hosts would have full control over which platform manages their photos
• They could switch between Airbnb and Hospitable as the source of truth at any time
• This would reduce anxiety about making accidental photo edits
